The Familias en Acción Latino Health Equity Conference will be held on June 28, 2018 at Doubletree by Hilton® Portland in Portland, Oregon. The conference provides a forum to focus on individual and community issues addressing health equity through research, programs, and policies.
The 2018 Conference will focus on strengthening Latino mental and emotional health through understanding and integrating Latino psychology within our health, mental health, and social service systems. Our keynote speaker, Dr. Yvette Flores, will explore the innovative approaches to providing culturally specific research and practice-based support for mental and emotional health within the context of being Latino. Latino identity is broad and complex and we understand that there is no universal approach to serving Latino communities. Join us in this exciting discussion of multifaceted Latino identities.
